The complaint you hear most often in building management is this: “We have no idea where our money goes.” We built our own platform to answer it.
NovaBina is a portal open to the owners and tenants of the buildings we manage. You can see your service-charge balance, the payments made, the building’s monthly income and expense statement, announcements, and the status of any request you have raised, all from your phone.
From request to resolution: a closed loop
In conventional management a fault is reported like this: you call the manager, who tells the caretaker. Nothing is recorded. Two weeks later the argument begins over who said what, and there is no way to settle it.
In NovaBina the same job runs like this:
- The resident raises the request in the app: a fault, a complaint or an ask. A photo can be attached.
- The request reaches management and is assigned. Who opened it, when, and who it went to are all on the record.
- The resident is notified as the status changes: on receipt, when work starts and when it is resolved. Notifications go out by SMS, email and in-app message.
- What was done is written down at closing. The history is not deleted; it stays visible per flat.
The real benefit of this loop is not speed but accountability. Once it is visible when a request was raised, how long it waited and how it ended, the work follows itself. At the annual assembly, the answer to “how many requests came in this year and how many were resolved” is a record, not a guess.
Why it makes a difference
Most management companies licence an off-the-shelf system and work inside its limits. Because we develop the platform ourselves, we can change it to fit the building we manage: a new report, a different kind of notification, or a process specific to one site.
